WAUWATOSA, Wisconsin (AP) -- A teenager who became the first person known to survive rabies without a vaccination went home Saturday after nearly 11 weeks in the hospital, officials said.

Jeanna Giese, 15, was infected when a bat bit her at church in September but she did not immediately seek treatment. She began showing symptoms of rabies in mid-October.

The only possible explanation is that shortly after reading it, said persons are laughing too hard to reply, since it is undeniable witty and amusing, very amusing in fact. Surely once they stop laughing over the next few days or weeks, they will post a reply.

Hello and thank you, let me tell you a bit about how I ended up "here". My path has been a short and worry free one, I was reading your (snoevaynne) profile on sg, and saw mention of userlame (which is nothing less then a perfect username and url), at which point I added a .com and pressed enter, after reading everything I had access to, I felt like I'd get some entertainment from you, the members, senses of humor, and I signed up. So I'd like to thank the academy, and somebody’s mother I think? Hopefully the lack of smiley faces in my post is not reason enough to put out a hit on my existence; also I still laugh when I think of church goers getting rabies, hah.
