When exporting LVM logical volumes, it is very important to use the fsid parameter in /etc/exports. Without that, you don't (necessarily) have consistent device numbers for the underlying devices, and you will see problems with "Stale NFS file handle" errors.
Since 0 (and "root") have special meaning in NFSv4, I start my fsid numbering at 100. That may or may not be necessary.
