Message of the hour from userlame.com:
It took a while to surface, but it appears that a long-distance credit card
may have saved a U.S. Army unit from heavy casualties during the Grenada
military rescue/invasion. Major General David Nichols, Air Force ... said
the Army unit was in a house surrounded by Cuban forces. One soldier found
a telephone and, using his credit card, called Ft. Bragg, N.C., telling Army
officiers there of the perilous situation. The officers in turn called the
Air Force, which sent in gunships to scatter the Cubans and relieve the unit.

How did I not know about
vimperator [vimperator.mozdev.org] before? VIM keybindings and VIM-ish interface for freakin firefox!! No more <C-d> to go down a page and getting the stupid Add Bookmark dialog. I've only used it for a few minutes now and oh yes, this is sweet. Off to the documentation...
Going with the latest version also pushed me into moving to firefox 3 (which I've been meaning to do for a couple weeks now).

Holy crap. I've been using this thing for a very short time now, and I have to say it is AWESOME. Easy navigation, save session and close with two keystrokes, single keystroke "open url in new tab" or just "open url", just a few keystrokes to "click" on a link or open in a new tab (reminiscent of hitting ctrl in konqueror/kmail)...I think I'm in love.
Also, I just went and got the It's All Text plugin. I'm editing this very post in vim. Right now. And I will :wq to send it back to the textarea on my site. This has been a good night.

Oh, and did I mention the inline javascript and inline shell commands?! No? Yeah, this is so great.

Not to mention, go into a textarea and hit ctrl+i, and it goes ahead and fires up gvim for you. I didn't find that at first and installed the "It's All Text" addon, but that was totally unnecessary.
Still loving it.
